I first discovered Chicane through his first cd "Far From the Maddening Crowds". I found a copy in the used bins at my favorite record store. I forgot what compelled me to buy the cd but I did. I thought it was pretty good, a bit too mellow for my tastes but it was still good. My initial thoughts was that he reminded me of BT on his first album /5(30). Chicane's album Far From the Maddening Crowds is a decent ambient dance album. The first two tracks are all synthesizer atmospherics and almost sound new age.
